The Medium Density Residential Zone within the Gold Coast City Plan presents great opportunities for development, for Duplexes in particular. In some instances a town planning approval may not be required however where non-compliant with the 20m frontage requirement, a code assessable application is triggered. Fortunately, this can usually be facilitated through Council’s ‘self to code’ Risksmart process for speedy approvals.
